Chapter 1

He stood in the parking lot waiting, just waiting for someone to pass by. He held the gun in his right hand, he was shaking, though it was with adrenaline, not fear. He wore a white stained t-shirt and tattered jeans. He was average height, face hidden behind his dark-almost black-brown hair.

A couple started to enter the deserted parking lot, the young man, no older then 20, was tall and lean. He wore a black long sleeved shirt and black slacks. He was clean and proper; his black hair fell low on the left side, almost covering his dark eyes. He was handsome beyond compare it seemed, and the woman was no different in that aspect, but everything else about her was his opposite.

She wore a long white dress, her golden blonde hair falling to her shoulders. She had a slight frame, almost breakable, the perfect living porcelain doll. Her eyes were the palest clear blue, and she seemed to glow next to this man. She also was about 20, though shorter than him. Together they seemed to drift across the lot; they didn't speak to each other, but moved in synch. When they were far enough into the lot that they couldn't easily retreat to the street the boy jumped out from behind the brick wall at the back of the lot, now only a few feet from the couple.

"Give me all your money!" The boy said, low and commanding, trying to be threatening as he quivered, holding up the gun. Now his face was visible, even features, bright green eyes that glistened with excitement and determination. He needed this money, and he needed it soon.

The women looked to the man, and the man back to her, and their voices seemed light and care free. "He wants money." She said, the smirk twitching her lips.

"He has a gun." He replied, less enthused then her.

"That he does. What to do?"

                "You may choose my mistress."

"Thank you my master, let him come." And with that their taunting conversation ended, and she looked to the boy as did the man. The man reached into his pants pocket, and handed her something, which she then brought over to the boy. The brown haired male held the gun to her head as she moved closer, but she just smiled as she handed him a large band of folded bills. "That should satisfy you for now, but you'll need more won't you?" She almost sang as she waltzed back over to her "master". "Come find us when you need more, we pay quite well boy." And as they walked away a piece of paper floated over her shoulder onto the ground in front of him.

He crouched down and picked it up, on it was a street and house number. An address. As he looked back up from the note to question them he couldn't find them. He looked around the parking lot, even went to check the street and sidewalks, but he couldn't see the odd couple anywhere. Had they really disappeared? Again he looked to the note. This time in frustration he crumpled up the paper and shoved it deep into the pocket of his jeans. He started on his way home, counting the wad of bills in his hand.
