And with that Aqua was gone within moments, she grabbed her things from her room and silently drifted out the door. Viren and Stella had already retired to their room, asking for dinner to be brought in around 8pm. And since Aqua’s former room needn’t be cleaned until the next day Rose and Alec had some time to just relax. Rose wandered off somewhere, and so Alec just went to the kitchen to wait out the hours until dinner. After some time he heard a phone ring. Not even noticing a phone in the entire mansion he was startled, but reflexively found it, and answered. “H-Hello? Who’s this?” He stammered.
“Oh Alec dear, I thought for sure Rose would answer first.” It was Angelene, he heard her cackle. “Well you’ll do, would you mind bringing me and Dylan some water and-“ He heard her mumble something to Dylan before returning to the call. “A few apples.”
‘How many’s a few?’ He thought. “Of course, I’ll be right there.” He said a quick good bye then went, found a tray, and got what she had requested. Their room was the only one in the longer of the many hall ways; he had been in it only once or twice before to clean, but never when they were home. He knocked and announced his name, and entered to a greeting from Angelene.
He almost dropped the tray when he walked in; the eye full he got was way more than expected. No wait, it was even past that. Even in the darkened room he could still see Angelene on top of Dylan underneath the covers. When Alec walked in they stopped moving, and Angelene sat up, loosely putting the blanket in front of her. She smiled.
“Thanks Alec dear, you can leave the tray on the nightstand.” Her sweet voice was breathy and he felt his face reddening. He left the tray and gave a slight bow before leaving the room. When he shut the door behind him he heard a slight squeak from the bed. He face got redder as he quickly strode down the hall. He then went into his hallway that he shared with Rose, and went to her door.
He knocked quietly, and heard her give a muffled “come in”. He hesitated for a moment, but decided that nothing would surprise him at this point. Though of course he was wrong.
