Rose turned just as the creature came within an arms distance. Her hand through another beast, and Stella taking on the other two she knew she would die. She stood motionless, her face blank. “I tried masters.” She whispered solemnly before she closed her eyes.
Bang!
Her eyes flew open as green splashed over her. The garden fell silent, the last 3 blobs lay broken on the ground. Alec stood holding the gun in his hand, now pointed at Rose’s skull where the demon had been equal only moments prior. But now in Alec’s eyes just another demon had taken its place. Rose expected him to lower his pistol, but instead he cocked the gun and put his finger back to the trigger. Rose stood for a moment before starting to walk over to him.
“I’ll shoot you, damn blood sucker.” His voice was horse, filled with more than just anger. As she came closer a different scene played in his head. A woman clad in white walking over to him to hand him bills, coming so close to his gun, and just smiling. But when he saw Rose’s pale face, her eyes so shallow. Her clothes and hair where covered in the green putrid blood, but she didn’t seem to care. Her nails where back to a normal length. She looked rather ordinary, as circumstances stood. She walked up to him until the gun was pressed to her skull.
“Shoot.” She said in a low whisper. She closed her eyes as he started to squeeze the trigger. He froze for a moment before finally pulling it all the way back. A loud bang resounded, a blue light exiting from the end of the gun. Rose stumbled backward, eyes wide as if she hadn’t expected him to pull it. But as she fell to the ground her eyes closed and the stunned look disappeared.
